Paige G. Elliott is a National Board Certified Teacher who holds a B.A. and an M.Ed. in English Education from North Carolina State University. She has taught English 9-12 for well over 12 years in Wake County Public School System and has been a co-instructor for the National Writing Project's Capital Area Writing Project Summer Institute at NC State for 7 years.
Elliott earned the title of 2007-2008 Wake County Public School System's Teacher of the Year, a position in which she served a multitude of capacities. She has written various articles for local publications, like Wake Education, regarding Teacher Leadership and Professional Learning Communities. Her presentations include, but are not limited to Unique Writing Approaches, Differentiated Instruction and Assessment, Best Practices, and Tips and Tricks: Effective Organization, Communication, and Management in the Educational Environment.
Elliott currently teaches English at her alma mater, Fuquay-Varina High School, while serving on the 2008-2009 North Carolina Teacher of the Year Team as North Carolina North Central Region Teacher of the Year. Paige G. Elliott strongly believes that education is everyone’s responsibility and that teachers have an obligation to embody the idea that they are professionals with a specialization in education. She also believes that all students can learn and deserve a quality education.
